Shutter frames create a perfect surround for your shutters, especially useful if you live in an older house with uneven walls or if your windows aren't entirely level. First, the frame is mounted on your wall or window, then your shutter panels are mounted inside the frame for a beautiful, professional finish. Simple as that! Watch our video to see which kind of installation and shutter frame is best for your windows.

Inside Mount Shutters
A window with a recess is most likely suitable to have shutters measured and installed as an inside mount. This means the shutters sit inside the recess. They can be located either close up to the window or any position in between. If opening the panels regularly, you may want to consider measuring and fitting them at the front, flush with the internal wall to enable the panels to fold back fully.
Outside Mount Shutters
If you have an older style sash type window or you have recess as shown above, an outside mount is most likely the best solution. This means the shutter frame we provide is face fixed onto the window casement or architrave or directly onto the wall.
