If your window opens inwards into the room, your shutters will need extra thought.
It is very important that the frame in not positioned in a way that will prevent the window from opening.
If your inward opening window is in a recess, installing the shutter with the frame inside of the recess will usually block the window from being able to open in.
The typical resolution for this is to mount the frame outside of the recess, or if there’s no recess, mount the frame on the surrounding wall around the window.
